<>CHEMCROSS, May 31, 2005 - Asian styrene monomer market continued to be quiet on Tuesday. Spot activities were at doldrums due to lack of firm sell interests. A firm bid was noted at $830/mt FOB Korea for any July loading with no offers to follow. Sellers had sidelined and wanted to wait and see for the settlement of US benzene contract price and for clearer market direction. On a CFR China basis, buyers were at about $840-$850/mt, while sellers were only at $870/mt CFR China with terms attached. In the Chinese domestic market, prices were heard unchanged at RMB 8,500-8,600 RMB/mt.</P>
