Interpon Impress®

Due to its benefits in cost-saving & environment-friendly, Powder Coating for reinforced plastics has been a hot topic. Akzo-Nobel, the technical leader of the world coating, and also the world’s largest supplier in powder coating, has developed a new product traded as Impress.
Impress is the trade name for an in-mold powder coating process used as either a primer or a finish coat for compression molded reinforced plastic substrates including SMC、TMC、BMC & FRP.

Features:
     Fast free radical cure mechanism (no additional cure time in the mold)
     High cross-link density (high hardness and chemical resistance)
     Internal mold release  (no need to spray on mold release agent)
     Oxygen inhibited cure (enables chemical co-reaction with substrate)
     Impress finish matches mold gloss, texture,

Process
     Apply powder to hot mold, 100-200 microns
     Powder fuses, melts, flows, gels, 10-30 secs
     Unreacted FRP into mold cavity
     As press closes, substrate flows under heat and pressure to fill cavity, < 5 secs
     Coating remains intact against mold surface
     Substrate and coating co-react, 1-5 minutes
     Coating releases as cured part is removed

Interpon Impress 是塑料及復(fù)合材料（如：玻璃鋼）涂裝用粉末涂料，用于模壓成型涂裝的底漆或面漆。涂裝底材主要是表面粗糙（內(nèi)有孔穴，玻纖等）的TMC、SMC、BMC&RTP，采用模壓成型的方法使得表面一次涂裝平整。

粉末涂裝步驟：
     將粉末噴涂于預(yù)熱的模具表面，（100-200 micron）
     粉末熔融、流平、膠化 （10-30 秒）
     未處理的玻璃鋼置于模腔中
     隨著模具的合閉，底材在熱壓作用下填滿模腔
     涂層相對(duì)于模具表面保持完整
     底材和涂層反應(yīng) （1-5分鐘）
     固化脫模
